Mixed Load Systems by MESH Automation
Mixed load palletizing is where several SKU’s are palletized on a single pallet or single unit load. MESH has delivered several systems that utilize our unique robot transfer unit with built in WIP rack for optimizing the robot motion and keeping the cycle rate at the best available. Full layer or partial layer picking using multizone end effectors and temporary stations for partial placing are additional technologies used by MESH.
MESH supports our mixed load systems with pre engineered systems for pallet dispensing, end of arm tooling, robot transfer units and slip sheet dispensers.
Mixed load systems with dissimilar packages (boxes and bottles) create another level of complication to a system design. MESH has implemented quick change robotic tool changers to accommodate the different end of arm tools required for the picking solution. The tool changer tree can also be located on the robot pedestal for better floor space utilization and possibly faster cycle rates when transfer units are used.
